"Worm Moon" is the traditional North American name for the March full moon, for the time when the ground thaws and earthworms return. You will also see it called the Crow Moon, the Sap Moon and the Lenten Moon.

This year it carries one more title. Because it is the first full moon after the equinox, it sets the date of Easter: Western churches celebrate Easter on Sunday, March 28, 2027, the Sunday after this moon. Orthodox Easter falls much later, on May 2, because it follows the older Julian calendar.

What does the full moon in Libra mean?

A full moon ritual for balance

This ritual takes about twenty minutes. You need two cups, a jug of water, a notebook and a candle. Do it on the evening of March 21 or 22.

1. Light the candle and set the two cups side by side. One is "what I give," the other is "what I receive."
2. Fill them honestly. For each thing you give in a relationship (time, money, patience, planning), pour a little water into the first cup. For each thing you receive, pour into the second.
3. Look at the levels. Don't judge them. Just notice which cup is fuller.
